I love watching the Olympics, but can’t stand the poor job of broadcasting done by NBC. If you don’t have cable service and don’t subscribe to MSNBC like myself, then there’s no free live streaming available (like they do in so many other countries), and you’re left with watching a very limited selection of coverage during prime time. So far, it’s been all swimming, gymnastics, diving, and more swimming…as much as I love to watch swimming, I don’t need to watch every qualifying heats and semi-finals. Upon googling, I learned that there are some 300 Olympic events in 26 different sports–it’s a real shame most of us won’t be able to get a more comprehensive coverage of some of the most amazing sports and athletes of the world…So, I pay my tribute to one of the more unknown events of the Olympics this week–Trampoline Gymnastics has been an Olympic sport since the Sydney 2000 Games.
